Relatively short, but fun and has interesting quests and a good combat system, though I always tend to lose boardings. Governance system is a little confusing, but it is not integral to experience. I really enjoyed and would highly recomment this game. Certainly worth $10 imo.. Fun game. I pretty much beat the game taking over all islands and having the best ship in the game. Got top 20 for most gold collected. Sadly there is no reason to play anymore :( Hope the devs add some more ships quests and islands to this game!. I adore this game. It has charm similar to that of Stardew Valley. There isn't a ton to do, but what you can do is super fun. There are people to help or hurt, villages to take over (or not), many sea battles to take part in, and ships to expand into. Definitely worth the price.. Pros:Fun to play, polished gameplay, cute to look at, good writing, and streamlined mechanics.Cons:Way too short, repetitive, a small map, and quests run out really fast.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I used to play Sid Meier's Pirates years ago though, and certain aspects remind me of that. I may have some bias in that regard. Good game though, I just wish it was longer and larger... oh well.. For some reason i cant buy things from the shop i went to every island and i could not buy anything why is this happening.. I'm sorry to say anything negative since I know the devs are a small team and they put love into this game, but I did not enjoy it. The art is brash and lacking warmth, the story elements are not very engaging and about as deep as "transport poop", and the combat and action elements lack any real control. They are mostly repetitive. The game menus and islands are repetitive and mostly just about clicking through menus quickly. There are much better games out there. Monkey island 2 from 1993 has a much better pirate feel and better art.. The story line and the functionality of the game are well done. It is fun to play, has a decent level of difficulty in battling enemies and easy to get a grasp of.Some missions do not have working directives but it is a playful game that allows you to mess around for a bit to kill some time. I would recommend more intuitive tutorials for building towns, categorize quests and vary difficulty of quests. 8.33/10 overall!. A short little game about being a good pirate. Help other people out but also murder and pillage to run all of the islands? I don't know, everyone seems to think you're a good guy. You do some nice things to help people out.The game's pretty easy. Permadeath is optional, and you really don't get anything extra for doing it I think. It has nice pixel graphics, and just a few bothersome factors such as you have to stand to a certain side to talk to people, you don't know what you can interact with until you get into that certain spot, and that there's a lot of just sitting and waiting while you sail.
